Categories of Water Damage
Clean Water – Refers to a source of water that is not a potential threat to human beings, such as broken water supply lines and appliance malfunctions.
Grey Water – Refers to a source of water that contains a significant degree of chemical, biological or physical contaminants and causes discomfort or sickness when exposed or even consumed, such as broken toilets and sump pump failures.
Black Water – This category includes water sources from sewage, seawater, rising water from rivers or streams, ground surface water or standing water, and are extremely unsanitary. If clean water & grey water are neglected, black water can develop.
